ABSTRACT
The influence of assignment, teaching methods and class size on students’ achievements in integrated science was the focus of this study. A researcher-made integrated Science Student Questionaire (ISSQ) and an integrated Science Achievement Test (ISAT) were the instruments used in this study. The responses on the ISSQ were used as a parameter to classify the subjects into the three factors investigated. A t-test statistical analysis on the student scores on ISAT showed that students exposed to frequent assignment, those taught using lecture with Student activities and students in small classes, achieved significantly (P<005) better than student not given frequent assignment, those taught by lecture with teacher demonstration and those in large classes. Recommendations made centered around the factors investigated in this study.
