ABSTRACT
The study examines water resources in the light of Cultural Perspective. This is based on the perceptions, beliefs and myths of the indigenous people of Ibeno which have not been paid adequate attention to in the legislation over water resources. Thirty respondents were randomly selected for the study from three villages in the area-Questionnaires, personal observations and oral interviews were used to collect data. Data analysis was through simple descriptive statistics using tables and percentages. Data analysis shows that water resources management. strategy is a function of tradition and religion. A number of recommendations have been made.
