This paper discusses managing University education for sustainable economic empowerment in Nigeria. It traces the evolution and development of the University (Federal, State and Private) education in the country. It highlights the major division of university organization and the management of human, financial and material resources in Nigerian universities for sustainable economic empowerment. ‘What is explored further in this paper is the vision of NEEDs as a strategy for poverty reduction, wealth creation, employment generation and value orientation.
