Abstract
In this study, the extent of implementation of the Junior Secondary School programme on integrated Science in the Cross River State has been examined. The exercise covers an indepth study of schools in the areas of personnel, resource material provision, and students‘ performance in 15 out of 17 Local Government Areas in the State. The extent to which the Core Curriculum has been covered in the first three years is also studied while difficult themes have been identified and recommendation made. It is hoped that with this study, the implementers of the Integrated Science Programme will consider the recommendations made as a part of a general package for eventual review of our approach to the teaching of the subject.
